Welcome to Midweek

One of our main initiative this year at Compass Point is our new Midweek program.

Midweek takes us a little bit into our past, and at the same time charting newer ground. We are offering an evening built around creating opportunities to fellowship together, grow together and, hopefully, help some of us with some logistical challenges in participating in programs and initiatives.

Every Wednesday, while our children and Jr High students are in their outstanding programs in our lower level – upstairs our lobby and café will be open for you to meet with friends and meet new people. We will also be offering through out the year different classes and workshops to help you grow and move in your relationship with Jesus….no matter where you are now.

Throughout the year we will add in family potlucks and worship nights as well – all in an effort to help us all be further impacted by our relationship with Jesus, so we are compelled to live differently!

Intentional Parenting: How to be an Exceptional Parent in a Quick-Fix World

Every parent has dreams for their children. As parents, we all start out with the best intentions. Although at some point, we move from dreams to duct tape and hope that everything will just stick together.

Raising kids in today’s culture is a difficult challenge. Without a plan, it’s easy for us to default to Quick-Fix Parenting. But to be exceptional parents, we need to be intentional parents. After all, parents are the greatest influence in the life of their children (no matter what their age)! Don’t worry! You’re not alone. Let’s walk through this important journey together. We’ll be using the Intentional Parenting Resource from Doug and Cathy Fields.

If I Were God, I’d Make Myself Clearer

With so many religions and claims out there, how can we know that Christianity is true? Do you wish God would just be clearer?  Based on the book, If I were God, I’d Make Myself Clearer, this course looks for clarity amongst the many different claims that are out there – those from different religions, worldviews, and perspectives on spirituality.  Come and explore the spiritual questions that your neighbours and friends may be asking.

Come and find out how and why the claims of Christianity can stand up to their scrutiny.

Leading an Impactful Small Group

This course is for existing small group leaders, those exploring small group leadership, those leading a small group within another ministry (ie. energize/thrive, Ladies’ table groups, ministry teams) and anyone else who is interested. It will focus on two areas.  First, it will provide practical training on topics such as how to facilitate a good discussion, provide care, deal with challenging people, and help people grow.

Secondly, it will provide ideas, tips, and methods to align a small group with the overall mission of the church – loving our family, leaning into our faith, living intentionally and leveraging leaders).

This course is strongly recommended for all existing small group leaders.

What Else Is Happening Wednesday Night?

Midweek Coffee

At the core of any get together…is of course, coffee!  It’s important to have a place where you can connect after a long day.   Maybe you just need a place to wait for your kids while they are at Youth Group or CP Kidz Midweek or want to have a place to meet a friend.  At Compass Point we want to not just equip you in your spiritual health, but we also believe it is important to grow as a family by connecting with one another and building relationships. by connecting with one another and building relationships.

Our cafe will be open from 6:30pm – 9:15pm every Wednesday, so please come early or stop by!
